    • Numbers 24:1-3 - God wants Balaam to prophesy again
    • Numbers 24:4-24 - Balaam prophesies
    • Numbers 24:25 - Balaam leaves.
  • Numbers 25:1-18 - Moab lures Israel
    • Numbers 25:1-3 - Israel worshipped the Moabite gods
    • Numbers 25:4-5- All Israelite leaders are killed
    • Numbers 25:6 - A Midianite woman is brought into camp.
    • Numbers 25:7-8 - Phinehas kills the man and woman
    • Numbers 25:9 - 24,000 people died
    • Numbers 25:10-13 - Phinehas has turned away God's wrath

Prayer – Dear God, you are the one true God. Help me to follow and trust in you alone. Help me to not be like the israelites and to worship you alone. Help me to be bold like Phinehas. Amen

Prayer –  Dear God, you are soverign over everyone and you can use even a pagan prophet to bless your people. You are also gracious and merciful and you forgive those who disobey you. Amen

    • Numbers 16:31-35 - The men are consumed with fire and the earth.

Prayer – Dear God. You are a wrathful and holy God. You want us to follow your commandments. Help me to follow them and forgive me when I fail. Amen.

Sins to avoid – He is rebelling against God's appointed authorities

Examples to follow – Don't follow Korah in rebelling against God's authorities. Respond with humility like Moses. Leave it in God's hands

  • Leviticus 25:35-55 - Rules for the year of Jubilee
    • Leviticus 25:35-38- Do not take money from poor Israelites
    • Leviticus 25:39-43- Do not make Israelite slaves work as slaves
    • Leviticus 25:44-46- You must not rule over Israelite slaves ruthlessly
    • Leviticus 25:47-53 - Family may redeem israelite slaves from a foreigner
    • Leviticus 25:54- Everybody is to be released in the year of Jubilee
  • Leviticus 26:1-13 - Reward for obedience
    • Leviticus 26:1-2 - Do not make idols and observe sabbaths
    • Leviticus 26:3-13- Blessings for obedience
  • Leviticus 26:13-33 - Punishment for disobedience
    • Leviticus 26:14-17 - Diseases, fever, famine
    • Leviticus 26:18-33 - If you do not repent I will repay your sins 7 times over

Application – God has power over everything

Prayer – Dear GOd, help me not to abandon or forsake you. I want to love and know you more. Give me strength as I daily fight my temptations and struggles. Amen
