Numbers 14

Scripture – Numbers 14

Observation – 

• Numbers 14:1-10 - The people rebel
• Numbers 14:1-4 - The people want to return to Egypt
• Numbers 14:5-6 - Moses, Aaron, Joshua, and Caleb lament
• Numbers 14:7-9 - If the Lord is please, they will be able to take the land
• Numbers 14:10 - The Lord appears in the tent of meeting
• Numbers 14:11-19 - Moses pleads for the people
• Numbers 14:11-12 - The Lord will smite them
• Numbers 14:13-19 - Moses responds
• Numbers 14:20-38 - The Lord pardons and rebukes
• Numbers 14:20-23 - The people will not see the land
• Numbers 24:24-25 - Caleb will see the land
• Numbers 24:26-29 - Men 20 years and older will not see the land
• Numbers 24:30 - Only Caleb and Joshua will see the land
• Numbers 24:31 - The children will come in
• Numbers 24:32-35 - They will wander for 40 years
• Numbers 24:36-37 - The men who brought a bad report died of plague
• Numbers 24:38 - Joshua and Caleb remained alive
• Numbers 14:39-45
• Numbers 14:39-43 - Do not go up.
• Numbers 14:44-45 - They went up and were struck down

Application – The Israelites sin and don't listen and sin against God

Prayer – Dear God, help me to love you and to listen to you. Help me to repent from my sins and to heed your words and instructions. Amen
