    • Isaiah 27:12-13 - In the kingdom of God, He is worshipped
9At night my soul longs for You,
Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently;

On the outside, it looks like I'm trying to seek the LORD. I can worship, serve on the ushering team, and more, but does that show a desire to seek the LORD on the inside? I can show my devotion to the LORD by serving but do my thoughts and desires show that as well? How can I desire to seek God on the inside, and not just outwardly serving Him?

I think that my desire to serve the LORD at church should also be in my thoughts. I can do things that serve God, but I need to make sure my thoughts are also pleasing and serving God.

    • Isaiah 25:10-12 - God will resolve all things
In this chapter, I see that God judges and he will destroy. But in the next chapter I see that God's wrath will come to an end. His judgment is righteous and he is good to the weak. One day, he will wipe away all our tears. He will swallow up death for all time. People die, they get injured, they have to get surgeries, bones ache, muscles are sore, but one day God will take all of that away. I look forward to that day when God will rule over all and will take away all pain, tears, and death.

Even though God punishes those who are sinful, they still have a chance to be saved if they turn to the LORD. No matter what they do, if they repent and are truly sorry, God will save them. This is what Egypt did and now they are saved. I see God's mercy for those who repent and a hope that those who are lost, will still have a chance of being saved.

In Isaiah 17:7-9 we see that the humble respond to the judgment of the Lord. For myself, when I am judged or punished I need to respond with humility.  God's way is best and I need to trust in his plans. For example, when things don't turn out my way, like I am not able to be on a volleyball team I need to trust God in his plans and respond with humility. His ways are best!

Lucifer has amazing talent. He was considered the star of morning and the son of dawn. I need to be careful for myself to not elevate myself because of my talent. We know what happens to the proud. God will "cut down to the earth" those who elevate themselves above God. When I use my talents, I must remember who gave them to me. It wasn't my own practice or because I was just born with it. It's because God gave them to me.
