Isaiah 19

Scripture – Isaiah 19

Observation – 

  • Isaiah 19:1-17 - God strikes Egypt
    • Isaiah 19:1-4 - God strikes Egypt by giving them over
    • Isaiah 19:5-10 - God strikes Egypt by drying up the Nile
    • Isaiah 19:11-15 - God strike Egypt by giving them foolish counsel
    • Isaiah 19:16-17 - God's striking of terror will invoke fear
  • Isaiah 19:18-25 - God saves Egypt
    • Isaiah 19:18-22 - Egypt turns to the Lord
    • Isaiah 19:23-25 - Peace between hostile enemies

Even though God punishes those who are sinful, they still have a chance to be saved if they turn to the LORD. No matter what they do, if they repent and are truly sorry, God will save them. This is what Egypt did and now they are saved. I see God's mercy for those who repent and a hope that those who are lost, will still have a chance of being saved.
