- Isaiah 18:1-2 - A word to Ethiopia
- Isaiah 18:3-6 - The Lord rejects help from Ethiopia

In Isaiah 17:7-9 we see that the humble respond to the judgment of the Lord. For myself, when I am judged or punished I need to respond with humility. God's way is best and I need to trust in his plans. For example, when things don't turn out my way, like I am not able to be on a volleyball team I need to trust God in his plans and respond with humility. His ways are best!
