Isaiah 14

 Scripture – Isaiah 14

Observation –

  • Isaiah 14:1-23 - The fall of the King of Babylon
    • Isaiah 14:1-2 - Judgment on Babylon means mercy for Israel
    • Isaiah 14:3-8 - The joy of the earth and the judgment of Babylon
    • Isaiah 14:9-11 - The King of Babylon is receieved into hell
    • Isaiah 14:12-15 - The fall of Lucifer
    • Isaiah 14:16-17 - The nations are amazed at the fall of the King of Babylon
    • Isaiah 14:18-23 - The destruction of Babylon
  • Isaiah 14:24-32 - Judgment on Assyria and the Philistines
    • Isaiah 14:24-27 - The coming judgment of Assyria
    • Isaiah 14:28-32 - The coming judgment of the Philistines

Lucifer has amazing talent. He was considered the star of morning and the son of dawn. I need to be careful for myself to not elevate myself because of my talent. We know what happens to the proud. God will "cut down to the earth" those who elevate themselves above God. When I use my talents, I must remember who gave them to me. It wasn't my own practice or because I was just born with it. It's because God gave them to me.
