- Numbers 22:1-21 - Balak sends for Balaam
- Numbers 22:1-4 - Moab fears Israel
- Numbers 22:5-8 - Balak sends for Balaam
- Numbers 22:9-12 - The Lord speaks to Balaam
- Numbers 22:13-14 - Balaam refused to go
- Numbers 22:15-19 - Balak sends for Balaam again
- Numbers 22:20 - God tells Balaam to go
- Numbers 22:21 - Balaam goes with them
- Numbers 22:22-41 - An Angel blocks Balaam
- Numbers 22:22-24 - An angel blocks the way
- Numbers 22:25-27 - The donkey backs up and Balaam strikes it
- Numbers 22:28 - The donkey talks
- Numbers 22:29-30 - The donkey makes a point
- Numbers 22:31-33 - Balaam's eyes are open
- Numbers 22:34-35 - The angel says to go
- Numbers 22:36-41 - They get to the border and sacrifice animals
Application – God is sovereign over all nations, God is gracious and merciful, God is holy and righteous.
Prayer – Dear God, you are soverign over everyone and you can use even a pagan prophet to bless your people. You are also gracious and merciful and you forgive those who disobey you. Amen
Sins to avoid – The devil has powers to deceive you. Deceit
Promises to claim –
Examples to follow – Do not try to deceiver God like Balaam.
Commands to obey – Obey God exactly
Summarize and apply – God gives Balaam specific instructions and Balaam disobeys.
