- 2 Chronicles 16:7-14 - God’s rebuke to King Asa and the king’s response.
- 2 Chronicles 16:7-9 - The word from Hanani the seer
- 2 Chronicles 16:10 - Asa rejects the message
- 2 Chronicles 16:11-14 - The sad end of the reign of King Asa.
- 2 Chronicles 17:1-6 - How King Jehoshaphat pleased God.
- 2 Chronicles 17:1-4 - The personal and spiritual commitment of King Jehoshaphat.
- 2 Chronicles 17:5-6 - The blessing upon his reign.
- 2 Chronicles 17:7-19 - The strength of Jehoshaphat's kingdom
- 2 Chronicles 17:7-10 - The spiritual strength of the kingdom
- 2 Chronicles 17:11-19 - The material strength of the kingdom.
Examples to follow – Trust in the Lord's hand and not man's armies.
Examples to not follow – Don't trust in man's powers because the Lord can easily defeat them.
Sins to avoid – False assurance. Thinking Man is better than God.

Application – Trust God in decision making.
Prayer – Heavenly Father. I ask you for wisdom in the different decisions I am making in my life. Things like worship leading, or volleyball should be in your hands and not mine. Amen.
