- 2 Kings 20:1-11 - Hezekiah is healed by God

- 2 Kings 20:4-7 - Isaiah brings God’s answer to Hezekiah’s prayer.
- 2 Kings 20:8-11 - God’s sign to Hezekiah: the retreating shadow.
- 2 Kings 20:12-21 - Hezekiah’s reception of the Babylonian messengers.
- 2 Kings 20:12-13 - Hezekiah shows the riches of his kingdom out of pride.

Examples to follow – Ask God and he will listen, but he will not always do what you ask.
Examples to not follow – Don't respond in the wrong way to punishment
Sins to avoid – Child Killing. Altars. Putting things before God.

Application – Respond in the right way to punishment: humble and with a heart that realizes what you did wrong.
Prayer – Heavenly Father. Help me to respond in the right way to punishment. Help me to not respond wrongly like Hezekiah did. Help me to be humble, and realize what i did wrong, rather than brush it off because it won't affect me. Amen.
