- 2 Kings 18:9-12 - Israel falls into exile during his reign.
- 2 Kings 18:13-37 - The Assyrian threat during the reign of Hezekiah.
- 2 Kings 18:13-16 - Hezekiah tries to buy peace from the Assyrians.
- 2 Kings 18:17-20 - The Rabshakeh tries to convince Judah to surrender.
- 2 Kings 18:21-25 - The demoralizing arguments of the Rabshakeh.
- 2 Kings 18:26-27 - Hezekiah’s men ask Rabshakeh to speak only to them.
