- 1 Kings 18:1-19 - Elijah meets Ahab

- 1 Kings 18:3-14 - Elijah meets Obadiah
- 1 Kings 18:15-16 - Elijah assures Obadiah that he will meet with Ahab.
- 1 Kings 18:17-19 - Elijah and Ahab trade accusations.
- 1 Kings 18:20-40 - Elijah’s victory on Mount Carmel.
- 1 Kings 18:20-21 - Elijah challenges Israel to make a decision.
- 1 Kings 18:22-24 - Elijah challenges Israel to make a decision.
- 1 Kings 18:25-27 - The prophets of Baal pray for fire from their god.
- 1 Kings 18:28-29 - The prophets of Baal work harder at their prayer.
- 1 Kings 18:30-35 - Elijah prepares his altar.
- 1 Kings 18:36-37 - Elijah’s prayer.
- 1 Kings 18:38-40 - God answers with fire

Examples to follow – Have confidence to do anything the Lord tells you to because he is on your side.
Examples to not follow –
Sins to avoid – Worshiping other gods
Promises to claim – Anything is possible with God. God can give you supernatural strength.
Commands to obey –
Application – Do what God tells you to, because he is with you.
Prayer – Heavenly Father. I know that you can help me in whatever I do. You can give me strength or will power in doing my schoolwork. You can give me will power when I workout. Help me to do these things in a way that pleases you. To work at it with all my heart. Amen.
