- 1 Kings 17:1-7 - Elijah is provided for
- 1 Kings 17:1 - Elijah tells of the Lord's judgement
- 1 Kings 17:2-5 - Elijah escapes to Cherith.
- 1 Kings 17:6 - Elijah is provided for
- 1 Kings 17:7 - Elijah and the dry brook.
- 1 Kings 17:8-16 - God provides for Elijah through a widow.
- 1 Kings 17:8-9 - God calls Elijah to go to Zarephath.
- 1 Kings 17:10-11 - Elijah asks for bread from a widow.
- 1 Kings 17:12 - The response of the widow of Zarephath.
- 1 Kings 17:13-14 - Elijah’s words to her.
- 1 Kings 17:15-16 - The widow’s obedience and God’s great blessing.
- 1 Kings 17:17-24 - Elijah raises the widow’s son.
- 1 Kings 17:17-18 - The widow’s grief at the death of her son.
- 1 Kings 17:19-20 - Elijah’s prayer.
- 1 Kings 17:21-24 - The son is raised from the dead.
Examples to follow – Have faith like the widow. Follow God where he tells you to.

Application – Have faith like the widow, even when it might seem impossible.
Prayer – Heavenly Father. You are the God who can do all things. You can create mountains and you can make infinite oil and flour. I know you can do this. Thank you for being with me wherever I go. Amen.
