1 Kings 19

Scripture – 1 Kings 19

Observation – 

  • 1 Kings 19:1-4 - Elijah flees to the wilderness
    • 1 Kings 19:1-3 - Jezebel's threat
    • 1 Kings 19:4 - Elijah's depression
  • 1 Kings 19:5-21 - God’s care to the despairing Elijah.
    • 1 Kings 19:5-8 - God ministers to the physical needs of Elijah
    • 1 Kings 19:9-10 - God allows Elijah to be frustrated
    • 1 Kings 19:11-12 - God reveals himself to Elijah
    • 1 Kings 19:13-15 - Afterwards, God gives Elijah work to do
    • 1 Kings 19:16-18 - Further assurance to Elijah.
    • 1 Kings 19:19-21 - The call of Elisha.

Prayer – Heavenly Father. Thank you for receiving my requests and frustrations. I know that I can come to you when I am frustrated. I can come to you when I am annoyed with my sibilings. I can come to you when I am struggling with my work. Thank you for hearing me. AMen.
