 Scripture – 2 Kings 13

Observation –

  • 2 Kings 13:1-13 - The reigns of Jehoahaz and Jehoash, kings of Israel.
    • 2 Kings 13:1-4 - A summary of the reign of Jehoahaz and an answer to prayer.
    • 2 Kings 13:5-9 - The rest of Jehoahaz's reign.
    • 2 Kings 13:10-13 - Summary of Jehoash's reign.
  • 2 Kings 13:14a-21 - The death of Elisha.
    • 2 Kings 13:14a - Elisha’s sickness unto death.
    • 2 Kings 13:14b-17 - King Jehoash has his final meeting with Elisha
    • 2 Kings 13:18-19 - King Jehoash fails to take the opportunity 
    • 2 Kings 13:20-21 - The continuing power of God at work in Elisha, even after his death.
  • 2 Kings 13:22-25 - God's mercy to Israel

Promises to claim – God keeps his promises to Abraham and everyone else. God can use anyone or anything for his glory.

Commands to obey – 

Application – Use the chances God has given you to your advantange.

Prayer – Heavenly Father help me to use the chances you have given me for my advantage. Help me to use the conversations and the retreats to my advantage. Let me not mess around during those times but let me learn from them and use them as much as I can.
