Observation –
- 1 Kings 11:1-13 - Solomon turns away.
- 1 Kings 11:1-3 - Solomon's sinful and numerous marriages.
- 1 Kings 11:4-8 - Solomons' wives turn him away from God
- 1 Kings 11:9-13 - God announces his judgement
- 1 Kings 11:14-25 - Two foreign adversaries of Solomon.
- 1 Kings 11:14-22 - Hadad the Edomite
- 1 Kings 11:23-25 - Rezon, from the north country
- 1 Kings 11:26-43 - Jeroboam - A special adversary
- 1 Kings 11:26-28 - Jeroboam, the servant of Solomon.
- 1 Kings 11:29-36 - The prophet Ahijah speaks to Jeroboam.
- 1 Kings 11:37-40 - Jeroboam’s great opportunity.
- 1 Kings 11:41-43 - Solomon’s death.
Examples to follow – Accept what God wants you to do. See that God is against you.
Examples to not follow – Sinning when God told you not to.
Sins to avoid – Having many wives.

Application – When God is against you, it is game over.
Prayer – Heavenly Father. When you are against me, I can't do anything. Help me to find favor with you. You are the one I want to please the most. Amen.
