- Matthew 27:15-18 - Pilate hopes to release Jesus.
- Matthew 27:19-20 - Pilate influenced by both his wife and the religious leaders.
- Matthew 27:21-23 - The crowd demands the release of Barabbas and the crucifixion of Jesus.

Examples to follow – Recognize when something is different. Impress those who are trying to kill you.
Examples to not follow – Don't mock those who are suffering. Don't commit suicide.
Sins to avoid – Don't say you are innocent of something when you aren't.

Application – Act different even around those who are trying to persecute you.
Prayer – Dear God. Help me act different like you when you were being persecuted. Help me to act different when I'm at the park, so that people will see I am different and get interested. Amen.
