Scripture – Joshua 3-4
Observation –
- Joshua 3:1-17 - The people cross the Jordan
- Joshua 3:1-2 - The people came to the Jordan and camped for three days
- Joshua 3:3-4 - Stay away from the Ark of the Covenant.
- Joshua 3:5-6 - Joshua told the people and priests to prepare themselves
- Joshua 3:7-8 - God gives his commandments to Joshua
- Joshua 3:9-13 - Joshua commands Israel
- Joshua 3:14-15 - The people stood in the water
- Joshua 3:16-17 - The water parted
- Joshua 4:1-24 - Be reminded of what God has done for you
- Joshua 4:1-9 - Set up memorial stones
- Joshua 4:10-18 - Passage over the Jordan.
- Joshua 4:19-24 - God magnifies Joshua
Application – God wants us to know that we can not do anything without him.
Prayer – Dear God. You are an all powerful God. Just like Israel, we are powerless. We have no control over what happens in our lives. Help me to trust in you. Amen.
