Observation –
- Jeremiah 34:1-7 - The word of the LORD against Zedekiah
- Jeremiah 34:1-3 - God tells Zedekiah of the fall of Jerusalem
- Jeremiah 34:4-5 - The promise that Zedekiah would die a natural death
- Jeremiah 34:6-7 - Jeremiah brings the word to King Zedekiah
- Jeremiah 34:8-22 - The sin of setting slaves free and bringing them back into servitude
- Jeremiah 34:8-11 - Going back on the covenant to release slaves
- Jeremiah 34:12-16 - Reminding them of the law of Moses
- Jeremiah 34:17 - Proclaiming liberty of judgment
- Jeremiah 34:18-22 - The punishment to those who broke the covenant
- Jeremiah 35:1-11 - The test of the Rechabites
- Jeremiah 35:1-2 - God tells Jeremiah to speak to the Rechabites

I spoke to them but they did not listen, and I have called them but they did not answer.’ ”
How you should not respond when God is calling you
Do not cover your ears when God is speaking to you.
Do not refuse to answer when God calls you.
Do not continue to cover your ears and refuse to answer when God calls you.
When reading the Bible and listening to God's word:
Do not skip parts that you don't like.
Do not ignore application when given and made known to you.
Do not continue to skip what you don't like and ignore application.
