Scripture – Isaiah 48
Observation –
- Isaiah 48:1-8 - The Lord sees the hard hearts of the people
- Isaiah 48:1-2 - The Lord sees the hypocrisy of Judah
- Isaiah 48:3-5 - The Lord sees that Judah has no excuse
- Isaiah 48:6-8 - The Lord sees how deep Judah's sin is
- Isaiah 48:9-22 - The Lord's mercy to the undeserving people
- Isaiah 48:9-13 - The reason for the Lord's mercy
- Isaiah 48:14-19 - The potential of the Lord's people
- Isaiah 48:20-22 - Praise the Lord for redemption
In this chapter there is two parts. In the first part, God sees the hard hearts of the people. He sees their hypocrisy, how they have no excuse, and how deep their sin is. In the same way, God sees all the sin in my life. He sees every thought I think, hears every word I say, sees all the things I do. He knows how bad and sinful I am. But despite that, he still forgives the people, and he forgives me.
The crazy thing is that the Lord sees ALL our sin, and yet he still forgives. It's easy for me to forgive if I don't know what they did, but it is really hard knowing exactly what that person did to me. I am so amazed at God's
