Observation –

- Isaiah 45:4-7 - God's purpose for Cyrus
- Isaiah 45:8-13 - Looking to the God who created everything
- Isaiah 45:8 - God calls to creation
- Isaiah 45:9-10 - The foolishness of resisting the creator
- Isaiah 45:11-13 - The God of creation will raise up Cyrus and deliver his people
- Isaiah 45:14-25 - Looking to the God who is above all gods
- Isaiah 45:14-17 - When God is revealed as the true God, idol worshipers submit
- Isaiah 45:18-21- The Lord declares his greatness
- Isaiah 45:22-25 - Looking to the Lord and finding salvation
I learned in this passage that when God is with you, it will be accomplished. When God chose Cyrus to subdue nations before him, it all seemed impossible for Cyrus, but not for God. It says in verse 2 that he will make the rough places smooth and shatter the doors of bronze. This reminds me that in whatever I do, it is because of God. When I do well in a worship set, do well on a test, safe when driving, that's all because of God. He made my paths straight and smooth and broke down the obstacles in front of me.
