Isaiah 43

 Scripture – Isaiah 43

Observation –

  • Isaiah 43:1-7 - Reasons not to fear
    • Isaiah 43:1 - Know you belong to the LORD
    • Isaiah 43:2-7 - Know the LORD is with you
  • Isaiah 43:8-13 - Witnesses to the work of the LORD
    • Isaiah 43:8-9 - The nations are called to either prove their case or accept God's
    • Isaiah 43:10-13 - The LORD sends his witnesses
  • Isaiah 43:14-28 - The LORD redeems a hard-hearted people
    • Isaiah 43:14-17 - A promise to judge Babylon
    • Isaiah 43:18-21 - God promises his exiled people a new work
    • Isaiah 43:22-24 - The hard-heartedness of God's people
    • Isaiah 43:25-28 - God's mercy to the hard hearted people
When I look at this passage, I see God's mercy despite the hard heartedness of the people. I'm so thankful that God treats sinners in this way. It says in verse 25, “I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins." In the previous verse, God lists some things that the people failed to do, but despite that, he will forgive your transgressions and will not remember your sins.

There are many things I regret doing, but I thank God that he forgives my sins and will not remember them.
