Scripture – 2 Chronicles 7-8
Observation –
- 2 Chronicles 7:1-11 - Dedication by God and Man
- 2 Chronicles 7:1-3 - The temple is dedicated by God with fire from heaven.
- 2 Chronicles 7:4-5 - The temple is dedicated by man with a multitude of sacrifices.
- 2 Chronicles 7:6-10 - The days of praise and feasting for the dedication of the temple.
- 2 Chronicles 7:11 - The work is accomplished successfully
- 2 Chronicles 7:12-22 - God appears to Solomon again
- 2 Chronicles 7:12-16 - The assurance of the answered prayer at the temple
- 2 Chronicles 7:17-22 - God's warning to Solomon
- 2 Chronicles 8:1-10 - Solomon and the surrounding nations
- 2 Chronicles 8:1-6 - The dominion of Solomon
- 2 Chronicles 8:7-10 - The conquered people of Solomon
- 2 Chronicles 8:11-18 - Solomon and the daughter of Pharoah
- 2 Chronicles 8:11 - Solomon marries an Egyptian princess
- 2 Chronicles 8:12-16 - The order of Solomon's government

Examples to follow – Dedicate your works to the Lord. Dedicate your skills and your things.
Examples to not follow – Don't use the power God has given you for your own benefit.
Sins to avoid –
Promises to claim – God listens to all our prayers.
Commands to obey –
Application – Dedicate what you have to the Lord.
Prayer – Heavenly Father. I dedicate my guitar playing skills to you. Use them for your glory and for the further building up of your kingdom. Help me to use my skills to please you and honor you when I play. Amen.
