- 2 Samuel 16:9-14 - David receives his curses with humility.
- 2 Samuel 16:15-23 - Absalom's counselors
- 2 Samuel 16:15-19 - Absalom receives Hushai as an advisor.
- 2 Samuel 16:20-23 - Absalom follows Ahithophel’s advice.
- 2 Samuel 17:1-14 - The advice of Ahithophel and of Hushai.
