Observation – 

  • Judges 6:1-10 - Sin, Slavery, and Supplication
    • Judges 6:1 - Israel's sin brings them into slavery
    • Judges 6:2-6 - Details of slavery to Midian
    • Judges 6:7-10 - Israel seeks God and God sends a prophet
  • Judges 6:11-40 - Gideon
    • Judges 6:11-13 - An angel goes to Gideon
    • Judges 6:14-16 - Gideon's call to serve
    • Judges 6:17-21 - A sign from God
    • Judges 6:22-24 - Gideon worships
    • Judges 6:25-27 - Gideon removed the Baal
    • Judges 6:28-32 - Argument over the statue being removed
    • Judges 6:33-35 - Gideon gathers an army
    • Judges 6:36-40 - God assures Gideon

Application – It is important to be bold for the Lord

Prayer – Dear God. Help me to be bold for you. Help me to be bold at the park when talking to other people about you. Help me to have a broken heartedness for those who aren't saved. Amen.
