- Judges 17:1-6 - Micah makes a shrine for the idols
- Judges 17:1-2 - Micah returns stolen silver to his mother
- Judges 17:3-4 - Micah's mother directs that some silver should be made into an idol
- Judges 17:5 - Micah establishes an elaborate worship
- Judges 17:6 - Every man did what was right in his eyes
- Judges 17:7-13 - Micah hires a Levite
- Judges 17:7-8 - A Levite looks for employment.
- Judges 17:9-11 - Micah hires the Levite
- Judges 17:12-13 - False consecration and confidence.
- Judges 18:1-13 - Dan spies out Laish
- Judges 18:1-2 - Dan sends spies to look for land
- Judges 18:3-6 - Danites meet with Micah's Levite
- Judges 18:7-10 - Dan chooses Laish for expansion
- Judges 18:11-13 - They assemble an army
- Judges 18:14-31 - Dan adopts Micah's idolatry
- Judges 18:14-18a - The army takes the shrine for themselves
- Judges 18:18b-21 - The Levite is hired by the army
- Judges 18:22-24 - Micah attempts to rescue his god
- Judges 18:25-26 - Micah goes home empty handed
- Judges 18:27-29 - Dan conquers Laish and names it Dan
- Judges 18:30-31 - Dan adopts Micah's idolatry.
Application – Micah had to save his fake gods. There is only one true God.
Prayer – Dear God. You are the one and only God. Nobody can stand against you. Amen.
Sins to avoid – Worshipping other Gods. Worshiping Idols.
Promises to claim –
Examples to follow – Don't be like Micah.
Commands to obey –
