Deuteronomy 1

 Scripture – Deuteronomy 1

Observation – 

  • Deuteronomy 1:1-46 - History of Israel
    • Deuteronomy 1:1-5 - These are the words of Moses.
    • Deuteronomy 1:6-8 - The Lord's command to move.
    • Deuteronomy 1:9-21 - Appointed leaders
    • Deuteronomy 1:22-25 - The twelve spies
    • Deuteronomy 1:26-28 - Rebellion against God
    • Deuteronomy 1:29-36 - Consequences of disobedience
    • Deuteronomy 1:37-40 - The Lord was angry.
    • Deuteronomy 1:41-43 - They tried to enter.

Application – The people sin but God forgives. Learn from the mistakes of those who come before you.

Prayer – Dear God. I fail time and time again. I fall into temptation, anger, and dishonesty, but you forgive me every time. I thank you for your mercy and grace. Amen

Summarize and apply – People sin, but if you repent, God will forgive you.
