Leviticus 1-3

• Leviticus 1 - Law for burnt offerings.
• Leviticus 2 - Law for grain offerings.
• Leviticus 3 - Law for peace offerings.

Application – There must be a payment for sin.

Prayer – Dear God, I am a sinner and there must be a payment for sin. In the old testament, you give the Israelites commands on how to meet the payment for sin. I thank you for your son that payed the price so we don't to. Amen.

Sins to avoid – Unrepentant sin.

Promises to claim –

Commands to obey – Repent from sin.

Summarize and apply – God gives them commands on how to give offerings.

Exodus 39:22-43, Exodus 40

 Scripture – Exodus 39:22-43, Exodus 40

Observation – 

• Exodus 39:22-31 - Building of the Ephod
• Exodus 39:32-43 - Moses examines everything.
• Exodus 40:1-33 - The tabernacle is erected.
• Exodus 40:34-38 - God dwells in the tabernacle

Application – The people had done it just as the Lord had commanded.

Prayer – Dear God, help me to do as you say and ask. Your way is the best way and the perfect way. Amen.

Sins to avoid – Pride. Thinking your way is better.

Exodus 38-39:1-21

Observation – 

• Exodus 38:1-20 - Finishing of the Tabernacle
• Exodus 38:21-31 - Amount of materials for tabernacle.
• Exodus 39:1-21 - The priestly garments

Application – Work hard for God's glory

Prayer –  Dear God. Again, help me to accomplish your work with the skills you've given me. Amen

Exodus 36-37

 Scripture – Exodus 36-37  

Observation – 

• Exodus 36:1-7 - Moses gathers men, women, and materials for the tabernacle.
• Exodus 36:8-17 - The people build the curtains.
• Exodus 36:18-19 - The people build the covering for the tabernacle.
• Exodus 36:20-34 - The people build the boards and poles for the tabernacle.
• Exodus 36:35-38 - The people build the doorway of the tabernacle.
• Exodus 37:1-9 - Bezalel makes the ark of the covenant.
• Exodus 37:10-16 - Building of the table and the utensils. 
• Exodus 37:17-24 - Building of the lampstand.
• Exodus 37:25-29 - Building of the altar.

Application – God calls all to use their skills for his glory.

Prayer – Dear God. Thank you for all the gifts you have given me. Please help me to use them for your glory just like Bezalel did. Please help me to find ways to make my skills useful. Amen

Exodus 34:10-35, Exodus 35

 Scripture – Exodus 34:10-35, Exodus 35

Observation –

•  Exodus 34:10 - God makes a special covenant with Israel.
• Exodus 34:11-13 - Drive out the nations; no treaties
• Exodus 34:14-17 - Don't be influenced by them (treaty, marriage, idols)
• Exodus 34:18-26 - Instructions for holy days to remember God
• Exodus 34:27-28 - Moses writes the Ten Commandments
• Exodus 34:29-35 - Moses' face shines because he meets with the Lord.

Application – God is merciful, and we shouldn't take it for granted.

Prayer – Dear God, thank you for forgiving me. Thank you for loving me and for being merciful. Please help me not take advantage of it. Amen

Summarize and apply –  Repent RIGHT AWAY

Exodus 33-34:1-9

 Scripture – Exodus 33-34:1-9

Observation – The journey continues. God gives Moses new stone tablets

Application – God gives second chances.

Prayer – Dear God, you are a loving and merciful God. You give us second chances even when we sin and fall short. Thank you for forgiving me again and again. Amen.

Sins to avoid – Thinking that you can do whatever you want because God will forgive you.

Promises to claim – The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth; 

Examples to follow – Forgive others also

Commands to obey – 

Summarize and apply – God gives second chances and we should give second chances to others as well.

Exodus 32

 Scripture – Exodus 32   

Observation – The people sin against God by worshiping idols. 

Application – We sin so easily.

Prayer – Dear God, you are a perfect and righteous God. You don't sin, but I do. Help me to guard myself against all kinds of evil.

Sins to avoid – Anger, Lust, Lieing.

Examples to follow – 

Commands to obey – Guard yourselves against all kinds of evil.

Summarize and apply – Be careful, and watch yourself.

Exodus 30-31

 Scripture –Exodus 30-31

Observation – God explains how to offer incense and appoints craftsman to build everything.

Application – Be skillful in the eyes of the Lord.

Prayer – Dear God, help me to do things for you. Help me to use my skills for your glory. Whether its guitar, or even Rubik's cubing, let me do it for you. I also ask that you would fill me with the spirit, and give me skill so that I can use them for your glory also. Amen

Sins to avoid – 

Promises to claim – I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship

Examples to follow – Obey and follow God's commands exactly.

Summarize and apply – Continue to work in my skills so that I can use them for God's glory.

Exodus 29

 Scripture – Exodus 29

Observation – God gives the priests commands on how to live and offer sacrifices.

Application – We need to stay clean to come before God.

Prayer – Dear God, help me to be clean before you. You are a holy and righteous God, and you hate sin. I hate sin also, and I want to be holy before you. I can't follow these commands on my own, and I need your son, that died on the cross for all of our sins. Thank you for the blood of Jesus. Amen

Commands to obey – Follow God's commands exactly.

Summarize and apply – Know that I'm a sinner and rely on Jesus' righteousness. 

Exodus 27-28

 Scripture –Exodus 27-28

Observation – It gives instructions on how to build the tabernacle and how to build the ephod.

Application – Follow God's word exactly.

Prayer – Dear God, again I see how amazing and how infinite your knowledge is. You tell the people how to build things, and they build it. God, I have been guilty of this. I haven't always followed your word exactly. Thank you for the word and help me to continue to strive to follow your word. Amen

Commands to obey – Do everything as God told you to.

Summarize and apply – God gives instructions to build the tabernacle and the ephod.

Exodus 25-26

Scripture – Exodus 25-26

Observation – God was very specific about how to build the tabernacle. Material, color, measurements, numbers, directions, placement, wood types. 

Application – Follow God's word exactly. He CARES

Prayer – Dear God, you are a very detailed God. I don't always follow the instructions given me. Forgive me. God, thank you for giving us instructions, and for making it clear. help me to pay more attention to the details and to look for things I've missed.

Sins to avoid – When God gives us instructions, follow them exactly.

Commands to obey – Build it according to the pattern shown you. Receive the offering from each man whose heart prompts you to give.
